NigeriaDecides2023: I will Congratulate Nigerians, Sympathise With Winner – SDP Presidential Candidate

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Prince Adewole Adebayo has said that he would congratulate Nigerians at the end of the presidential election and sympathise with the winner.

He stated this on Saturday at his residence in Ondo city while commenting on the conduct of the general elections.

Adewole said: “I will congratulate Nigerians for the election and sympathise with the winner of the contest.

This, according to him, is because the winner of the contest is inheriting a house on fire and will need to act fast to make Nigeria work again.

“Anybody that wins has the first six months to turn things around and show his readiness to fix Nigeria to make life better for Nigerians.”

Commenting on the conducting of the election. Prince Adewole said: “I got a report from Lagos that they have not seen INEC officials in some places. And in Katsina and Plateau, some people brought items to give to voters and INEC officials. It is a typical election.

“It is a normal election. I feel happy about the sense that we have done 24 years without military intervention.

“Buhari has not made any effort that he will not go. The intention to sell or buy votes has not changed.

“Hoarding money cannot stop vote-buying. It is better not to offer any money like I did not to pay SDP agents at the polling unit.

“We need to pay attention to other political parties. I am not against Voter apathy. The cashless policy has forced people to vote for the chosen candidates.”
