…Commends Ministry of Agriculture
The National Agricultural Commodities Projects (NACP) has lauded the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for their efforts in addressing food insecurity in the country.
It has however urged the government to identify and partner with private progressive organisations and farmers groups, that are already supporting smallholder farmers with farming inputs and extension services to maximize local food production.
At a meeting with key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, NACP Chairman, Amb. Dr. John Aderibigbe spoke extensively and emphasized on the importance of collaboration in achieving food security.
In his words, “We commend the Ministry for their efforts, but we believe that partnering with relevant organizations already on the ground will amplify the impact,”
